The question of esports and sport and the ongoing covid pandemic continue to impact the esports scene. We discuss the latest major event (or non event in this case), the recent rejection of esports as a sport in Sweden despite the application by the Swedish Esports Association. This caused ‘The International’ in Dota 2, one of esports biggest events to move elsewhere as visa issues emerged for the athletes.
